Setting up your channel

After you have created your new Channel, you will be redirected to the Channel page. This is your Channel Home, where you can define Schemas, insert Documents, change your Channel settings etc.

Accessing the Settings Page

Before we start digging more into inserting data to Lucent, we must first set up all of our Settings. In order to access the Channel Settings, click the three dots next to your Channel name and go to Settings.

Channel Settings

Inside the Channel Settings, you can change your Channel name, add the Demo and Live URLs of your enviroment and also add a description. If the description text is set, then it will be displayed in your Channel Home.

Here you can also set if the Validation will be enforced ore ignored, meaning documents with validation errors can go Live (You can read more in our Live and Demo enviroments concept).

You can also transfer the ownership of the Channel to another existing Lucent user, clone the Channel into a new one, with everything but the data, or even delete it.

Channel Locales

If your project will be multilingual, you can set here your locales. Locales will be used throughout Lucent, making your documents translatable.
